An Industry That Needs Saving

The few excerpts from Seth Godin’s blog grabbed my attention since both my day job and after hours passion live in media. I think the sooner the print and media industry open their eyes and leave the old rules at the door then “saving” themselves will not be at the frontal lobe of both decision makers and media consumers. We are in a new age of hi volume information with a plethora of sources and numerous ways to consume that information. Embracing the technologies and services where the consumer lives in a daily routine would be the beginning of staying near the top of the media game. Arguments over journalist vs. reporter vs. blogger vs. huge media outlets vs. PR could be settled into collaboration and media feeding rather than media death and denial. Just my two cents at the moment.
