Mark Zuckerberg and his investors know exactly what they are doing by telling people they are close to going IPO. Create the buzz for future investors and the current second market investors. The trick is to remain 499 or less investors as close to Dec 31, 2011 as possible. However, should that number come to life it doesn’t mean they have to offer the IPO. So for the next year while user growth, advertiser investments and second market trading evolves, its nothing more than a teaser at best to think some of us could one day soon own a piece of Facebook.
