Inspired by a “take action” initiative presented by Google, these are my ideas on open internet and freedom on this hot 4th of July, 2012.
Information Technology systems moved from government and academic use only to the world. We have built communication systems, family connections, business processes, emergency platforms and much more simply because the Internet connects us all. Ones and zeros do not care about country, creed, race or with whom you wish to marry: The internet is freedom in digital format and we should be allowed to use, participate, give, share and reach across the world without interference. America, alone, was built on the idea of freedom, having a voice, being an individual and for those with less ego and bright ideas, the Internet is a medium to spread the social good or change the world. Keep it free and open. -Nakeva
